Kaavalan Review – Movie that Save Vijay’s Future
Jan 21st
Just back from the cinema…Kaavalan was good, Vijay in Different role. as a Malaysian Indian… my review as below. This review from Havinaash who from Malaysia as well… im totally agreed with his review. so im post it to share with you all.

Here we go:
From first and far most, I would sincerely thank the director Siddique for such a new experience in a Vijay’s film, not like the usual mass commercial entertainers, Vijay has really selected a very good script after so many years, and Asin has done an awesome character in the movie. Kavalan had so many problems for its release here in Malaysia, fans were always checking out the cinemas since Christmas 2010, after then they said New Year, after that they said Pongal, and now the bodyguard has occupied nearly 50 theaters and cineplex throughout Malaysia.
After watching this movies trailers, pictures, & songs I definitely felt that this was an unusual fare for a Vijay’s film, when the film was released this afternoon at 3PM in Malaysia, I went for the first show to see what was the “SOMETHING DIFFERENT” in this film, and after the 2 hours and 30 mins of ride in the film, I realized EVERYTHING WAS DIFFERENT. Nice Love Story as well.
Producer (C.Romesh Babu) – Thanks for the faith that you had in Vijay and the courage to face all the problems along with the team and struggled for the release, a producer’s biggest hard work is to successfully release a film but in your his case it was massively tested for a first time producer. Hats off for your hard work sir!
Dialogues (Guruvaran) – His dialogues are really hilarious when it comes to the Vijay-Vadivelu-Asin combination, very touching after the interval, and made people shed tears in the climax of the film, and not even one single PUNCH DIALOGUE could be found in the film. You really rocked!
Stunt (Stunt Siva) – OMG ! You are the man ! After so many illogical fights in a Vijay’s film, finally you are certainly the savior for his films. No flying scenes, no chasing a 2500cc car and manage to catch it by running, but there was a fight scene after the Vinnai Kappan song that had fire when Vijay kicked the gangsters and another scene was the sliding bike scenes that was kind of out of the range. BUT overall you have certainly made Vijay’s image to a successful one. Keep it up sir!
I would like to add here. why there is some directors like to see their heros to fly here and there?? it not logic as well… and thats make the movie to flop. for example, in kuruvi – vijay fly from another premises to the railway track. and in sura movie – intro like dolphin coming out from the water. its vijay actually who is swimming. totally silly to watch. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STYLE OF DIRECTION.
Cinematography (N.K Ekhambaram) – You have proved once again the crisp angles and perfect cinematography as the film needed with your creativity, the stunt sequences after the Step It Up song was awesomely shaped, the songs are highlighted because of your camera angles in the songs especially Sada Sada, Pattampochi and Step It Up was awesomeness! The entire cinematography of this film rocks!
Music (Vidyasagar) – After the B2B success with Vijay (Ghillie, Madurey & Kuruvi) Kavalan’s soundtrack is certainly a different one, no dappan kuthu, no hard music, no build up lyrics, it was just a perfect, soft, and melodious album from Vidyasagar for the first time in a Vijay’s film.
All songs are very suitable to the movie.
The songs Sada Sada, Step It Up, Yaaradhe Yaaeadhe and Pattampochi songs were simply awesome, the best part in the film regarding the music was the intermission scenes background score, 2nd half background score and yes certainly the music stole people’s heart in the climax. Awesome sir! - Agreed.
Director (Siddique) – I would start of by saying that the only director who used Vijay to his core, it started in Friends and now Kavalan, what more can I say, his story, his screenplay, his direction proved that he is a seasoned director who knows what people expect from Vijay, and yes sir as your tagline “Something Different”, you have proved it.
Not to forget VADIVELU who keeps the movie in the right track…without people get bored. His comedy with Vijay was awesome… You will laugh and laugh when you meet them both them together. Really.
And Asin, her role was good and performance is superb. Im sure she gonna rock back in kollywood. Good Luck Asin.
Finally,
Vijay – I didn’t expect a film from Vijay who have performed like this in a love story, a 36 years old man who made mostly everyone leave the theaters with tears, you have really changed the way you act, and you have changed your dressing style. Yes, finally you have changed your hairstyle in the songs, and has finally stopped flying from here and there. FINALLY, I CAN PROUDLY PULL MY COLLARS UP AND SAY “IM A DIE HARD VIJAY FAN”. You certainly made it sir. Your expressions and the way you portray yourself as Bhoominathan was very touching. Hope to see your more changes in Velayutham and upcoming films. All the best , 2011 is yours.
VERDICT : A surprise from Vijay and Asin, please do hit the theaters for a film like this.

Simple Review: Sura @ Dolphin
May 3rd
Why I dolphin?? good, u must go n watch the movie the… after vijay’s intro… u will admit with what i said here…
However, there is no variety in the film and it happens to be a usual Vijay fare. The script seems to be a combination from his earlier ventures. Of course, the actor does not disappoint his hard core fans, as Sura has all the elements that will satiate them.
Tamannah appears in some dance sequences, a few scenes and in all adorns the movie as a glamour piece. This is perhaps the first film, where Tamannah marries on screen! Yes, Sura ends on a happy note with the lead pair entering wed lock.
The fights in Sura could have been choreographed well, considering Vijay’s performance levels in other films. Though there are some gravity-defying stunts, the fight seems to lack the punch and force that one usually associates with a performer like the Ilaya Thalapathy. konjum konjum flying la… (cant defeat dolphin scene!!!)
Sura is a usual Vijay fare that will be a treat for his hard core fans.
what i like in this movie??
Not to hide… i like the comedy scene i laughed while watching the scene when vijay and vadivelu appears. tamannah also have tried some comedy… lolx
what else…? song in this movie i like too…. even the ‘bommayi’ is a remake song, it doesnt stop to top the chart among tamil audience… vangge kaadal song oso nice.
i like vijay’s dance… fight n intro’than la OUT. Dance is watchable… he is really good in dance… you guys should watch some of the songs… especially bommayi and naan nadanthal athiradi… superb choreographed.
other than that… nothing to tell…. its just a normal vijay movie. cant see any different from his previous.
WATCHABLE!!! Better than Villu and Kuruvi…!!!

Hahaha!!!

Vettaikaran Release: New Date

Recently i have posted a post where Vettaikaran movie will clash with Ajith’s Asal in 2010 Ponggal. but, now they changed the date to 18 December 2009. Source said that, the movie already done its censor board and get U/A certificate. Emmm…. So, its a happy news for Vijay’s fans. The movie will be solo in the race… yup, have to wait for the movie release news.
Hope this vettaikaran’s vijay dont jump here and there and fly like a eagle….hehe.
Song already rocking, just wait to see the visual and his dance. Vijay famous for his dance, what. Anuksha’s image was really hot. Wish her performance in this movie will be the best as Arunthathi.
So, not so far for Vettaikaran review in my site. just be cool and watch Vettaikaran’s 1st show! OK right! Vijay fans, can hear the sound? Puli urumbuthu, what! Hehe
