Siruthai Movie Review – Rocket Raja
Jan 15th

Well well well…. Happy Ponggal to everyone. Pongal means new movies for me, as said… this year pongal we have siruthai, adukalam, and kavalan. But i didnt see any kavalan movies here. I mean in malaysia, mayb late abit i guess. Anyhow, i will give some of my own opinion regarding siruthai movie with another website’s review of the movie.
Karthi seems to be having a dream run in Kollywood. He is like a batsman in in prime form smashing all deliveries to boundary. As long as you are not ready to complain that ‘Siruithai’ lacks logic, the film would work big time, as it is an out and out commercial fare.
As one can see, the movie has enough potential to be presented as a no-holds-barred entertainer. Instead, the director borrows the Telugu version’s garishness and manages only to translate (sometimes even transliterate) the dialogues and comes up with a banal stereotype of a movie. To muffle the questions that would arise out of the language that is being used, the director inserts a disclaimer at the opening of the movie stating that it’s for the benefit of the viewers that every character speaks Tamil although most of the proceedings happen in Andhra Pradesh. But he conveniently forgets the other questions that would arise out of unreasonable sequences that fill the movie. Those might never be answered.
In the little time he’s allowed to be on screen, Santhanam manages to break the movie hall into laughter with his wisecracks. Karthi and Santhanam complement each other as well. Tamannah is just another pretty face in the movie and has absolutely nothing to do other than look pretty and dance gracefully. She also seems to be willing enough to flaunt her navel area, much to the delight of Karthi and her fans. Which brings us to the songs; all of them seem to follow the same beat and are equally humdrum.
The movie is also riddled with crude dialogues; it would still have been tolerable if they were used only for comedy, but in the name of villainy the movie throws in some cringe-worthy dialogues and scenes that are sure to make the women in your family squirm in their seats.
Stunts are like okay very hardcore type. But then the jumping form 10 stories building is too much. because he jz land with his 2 legs with out any hurts….
Songs are jz nice and the videography is nice as well. i can say, its like expected from karthi’s & tammanah movie.
Siruthai is a mass movie. commercial movie with comedy, santhanam have done his parts very well till the end. Mass movie lovers and karthi’s fan. Please watch the movie and enjoy… even you can go for santhanam as well.
Naan Mahan Alla Review: Personal
Aug 21st

Yes, i watched the first show on first day… Naan Mahan Alla is “pakka” commercial movie dude… you will wish to not meet the people like in the movie in your life.
Basically its a very simple movie… very straight forward… about some youngster and their routine when in their college life. And also about a person who enjoying his life with his love. family, friends…
What is the movie about? what will happen if 1 incident happened in a person’s life? because of 1 incident, the director showing the rest of part deeply… its a simple and brutal type movie…
the cast all did a good job, especially Karthi and the four 5 boys… really looks hardcore man… Kajal Agarwal really looks lovely in this movie… suggest to watch guys. dont miss it… with Yuvan Shankar Raja’s awesome songs and background score… the movie cool. Climax BGM is damn nice… electric guitar is wow! Again he proved that he is really good and matching with new director.
The director is Suseendran, this is the second movie for him… im sure he will get great applause from viewers. stunt and camera are good as well. Thumbs up for the team!

Paiya Movie Review
Apr 1st
Anyway its my opinion. shouldn’t be same as others.
Yes, its me after watch the movie… Everyone wonder who is the PAIYA of the movie right???
who else if not the guy who called Yuvan! Hats Off! His song is the greatest strength of the movie! Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed beautiful songs with ‘En Kadhal Solla’ receiving a loud applause. i heard some people sang along in theater as well, i thought in pub/ clubbing only! “unn alazhagaley x2……… wow! nice song! (PLUS POINT)
His background score as well as re-recording are excellent. The music behind the fight sequences gives the racy feel. Unarguably, the biggest plus-point in the movie! Apart from this, the sound engineers Guru et al, receive appreciation as well. Usually work of such technicians is not noticed, they have done a terrific job that needs to be lauded.
Okay, take it him as first Paiya… and who is the next PAIYA??? emmm, since the movie is a action movie… Of coz its Kanal Kannan and editor Anthony who have done a good job! without these two guyz i guess the flow of the story will drop a little.

Karthi and Tamannah pair is awesome. They both really done a good job! karthi Good action! Tammanah good for her cuteness.
The story is the issue… as behindwood said,
The director should trim the journey and add some scene out of the journey. you know what i mean! by the way, He has recorded romance in a beautiful manner especially when Karthi communicates his feelings to his friends seeking advice and his dignified attitude towards Tamannah.
shud add more love scene as well. Its Happy ending, audience maybe prefer happy x3 ending. like the songs! Superb songs! thanks for the mr. lingusamy!
Nothing much neway! PAIYA is a WATCHEABLE MOVIE. Just sit in the cinema and travel with them! Dun Talk.
Dun Behave Like PAraya Fellows, shout here and there, its nt funny at all. emmm.
just sit and watch! otherwise you gonna miss the journey!
Overall My rate: 6.5/10
Somethings need to correct it in next film director!
adada mazhai da video song!!!
Paiyaa Release Date
Mar 15th

Paiya
One of the most expected movies of this year ‘Paiyaa’ has announced its release date. The film which was to have hit the screens in February is finally releasing on April 2.
‘Paiyaa’ is produced and directed by Lingusamy for his home banner Tirupathi Brothers. The film has Karthi and Tamannah in the lead and Bollywood actor Milind Soman plays a key role. Music by Yuvanshankar Raja is already on top of the charts. Paiyaa is a road adventure film with some scintillating action sequences.
Recently Paiyaa became a high profile film as Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud 9 Movies acquired the film for distribution. As the year so far has not been good for the film industry all eyes are on Paiyaa for the reversal of fortunes at the box office.
Adadaa… good news but kinda sad because i got assignment to finish and it will be the last week… Emmm see how…… Hope can watch it.

Ayirathil Oruvan review
Jan 18th
The long wait is over – literally for all. Be it Selvaraghavan, Karthi, Reema Sen or the audience who were yearning for an ‘adventure’ film. Selvaraghavan, who is known for his adapt handling of mind-blowing sensitive issues (read human emotions), should be a relieved man now.
Two and half years of his hard work is out for the audience to watch and relish. But is the wait really worth? To this question, the answer is both ‘yes’ and ‘no’, for the film is a mixture of surprises and dissapointments.
A look at the film, it is evident why it has taken toll on the time. An engrossing, enthralling and entertainment was what Selvaraghavan would have planned. But he is only partially successful in his attempt, as the second half takes all the sheen away the first half provided.
In other words, the filmmaker seems to have been firm on what he wanted to do, but it did not come out with that exactly on screen. At the same time, films on such genre are a rarity in Tamil cinema. One can’t spot a single movie in this genre in Kollywood before. Selvaraghavan who strives for perfection in every frame of his, seems to have taken the lead to fill the void with ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’.
His shrewdness of blending the lives of common man with such complicated themes is amazing in ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ too. There is no love or family or other such elements in this film.
But what is striking is that a down-to-earth coolie ( Karthi) setting out as a help to archaeologists who sets out on a mission. Quite typical to his earlier films, it is the heroine around whom the major part of the story is set and revolves.
As everyone said, first half og the movie is awesome, an adventure movie with comedy and alot of suspense. Most of the people get upset or confused in the second half of the movie. the 12th century tamil was difficult to understand and there is no subtitle.
but the latest news that i heard about this movie are, director selva have trimmed the movie and add the subtitle upon audience complain and request.
this is kinda new type of movie, there is hero and heroin, but there is no pair. songs were in the flow of the movie. computer graphic was awesome for a level of Kollywood. Karthi’s patient in acting and comes out with new movies, is really give him a score. hopefully with his Paiya which is releasing on 12th of February 2010, would give him a super hat-trick.
My rate: 7.5/10
