Pig Heads In Mosques
Jan 27th
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—Worshippers found severed heads of pigs at two Malaysian mosques Wednesday following a spate of firebomb attacks on churches amid a dispute over the use of the word “Allah” by Christians, officials said.

It was the most serious incident to hit Islamic places of worship following vandalism and other assaults at 11 churches, a Sikh temple, a mosque and two Muslim prayer halls across the Muslim-majority country in the past three weeks. Pigs are considered unclean by Muslims.
The attacks followed outrage among Muslims over a Dec. 31 court verdict that allowed non-Muslims to use “Allah” as a translation for “God” in the Malay language. Many Malaysian Muslims believe the word should be exclusive to their religion, and that its use by others could confuse some Muslims and even lure them to convert.
Several men who went to a suburban mosque to perform morning prayers Wednesday were shocked to discover two bloodied wild boar heads wrapped in plastic bags in the mosque compound, said Zulkifli Mohamad, the top official at the Sri Sentosa Mosque on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s largest city.
Two similarly severed heads were also found at the Taman Dato Harun Mosque in a nearby district. Wild boar are common in Malaysia’s forests.
Government leaders denounced the incidents and pledged to track down the culprits.
“We are dead serious about this,” Hishammuddin told a news conference. “We will bring them to justice.”
The attacks on places of worship are considered a threat to decades of generally amicable relations between ethnic Malay Muslims, who make up nearly two-thirds of Malaysia’s 28 million people, and religious minorities, mainly ethnic Chinese and Indians who practice Buddhism, Christianity or Hinduism.
The tensions center on a court dispute in which the Herald, a newspaper published by the Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia, argued it has the right to use the word “Allah” in its Malay-language edition because the word predates Islam and is used by Christians in other predominantly Muslim countries, such as Egypt, Indonesia and Syria.
The High Court ruled last month in favor of the Herald, overturning a years-old government ban on the use of the word in non-Muslim publications. The government has appealed the decision.
Among the attacks in various Malaysian states, eight churches and two small Islamic prayer halls were firebombed, two churches were splashed with paint, one had a window broken, a rum bottle was thrown at a mosque and a Sikh temple was pelted with stones, apparently because Sikhs use “Allah” in their scriptures.
The firebombings at the Islamic halls caused little damage except for scorch marks, but Zulkifli, the mosque official, said the pig heads were “a serious desecration.”
Authorities arrested 15 Muslim men in connection with the attacks on churches, and four other unidentified suspects linked to the attacks on the Muslim prayer halls.

French Spiderman Fined for Climbing KLCC Tower
Sep 2nd

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — A French climber nicknamed “Spiderman” has been fined 2,000 ringgit ($570) for climbing Malaysia’s 88-story Petronas Twin Towers. A Kuala Lumpur court official says Alain Robert pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminal trespass. He declined to be named, citing court policy. A day earlier, Robert sneaked past security to reach the top of Tower 2 of the landmark buildings. He was arrested right after his feat. He was quoted by the national Bernama news agency as saying, “Climbing is my passion, my life, my addiction.” Robert tried to scale the Twin Towers in 1997 and 2007 but was arrested at the 60th floor both times. He has climbed more than 70 skyscrapers worldwide, including the Empire State Building and Taipei 101.
Damn Brave this fellow, very brave… Oh my god, when i heard about it, i didnt believe it at all… after the news in media, i’ve shocked. He really got the guts! As a Climber, he achieve his dream toward KLCC building. Thats fantastic!!! But, the Malaysian court charged him for RM2000 ($570). I think the $570 is nothing for him…small money…jujubi money… as for sure, he is going to climb another one tower soon. Good Luck Robert! Hats Off to you! Hope you don’t become a superman later!

Malaysian Education System, No Change Please…
Jul 29th

Read and Laugh
For the 2nd post of mine in my blog, i would i like to post about something that happen in Malaysia nowadays…Since they essay above make me laugh, it is make me to think also about the education in Malaysia.
Talking about the education system in Malaysia which have been changed English to Malay, Malay to English, and NOW back to classic mode, English to Malay. Is this show us the proper education system management or just the power of people who protest to the language to be use? its shows us that, there is no same goals or objective to achieve between all the leader.
Early year 2000, Tun Dr.Mahathir change Malaysian education system to English medium. Now, as the new PM have change back the English medium to Bahasa Melayu starting 2012. Why this thing happens? Is that they don’t realize the important of the English language? Everyone in Malaysia can speak Bahasa Malaysia (BM) well, i don’t think so that they will have a problem to maintain this. Of cause BM wont disappear from our Malaysian culture…Am i right? People should learn which they weak in and also which is important for our future life. Why don’t they realize this, its totally confuse me.
English is the language that i support with, it doesn’t mean i don’t like BM, BM is nationwide important, But English is more than that, everywhere is English…it is the Basic language that we need to learn. Maths or science doesn’t matter, if can all subject. If cant understand, can explain in BM what, not so difficult…our teachers and lecturers are already good in BM. I have been go through all the difficulties, my English was very bad even after school. Now got improvement because I try to speak in English with my friends and colleagues. Even now you can find some error in my English, im still learning…
I know im not the only one who regret about this, sure there are many who having difficulties to speak, write and read in English. Its not too late, you guys still can manage to learn. But, i suggest to support the previous education system which is Science and Mathematics in English, to not to change to Bahasa Malaysia. It will help a lot for the future generation. Think about it and Voice to Not Change This.
Unite Together to the Better Future for your Kids and yourself.
